Wk 1, D 6

We had visitors this morning. Hubby’s sister and brother-in-law came to see he was alright. We walked to the river which is only 5 minutes away and sat at the pub and had brunch. We walked a little further along the river after that and I wish I put on my  RunKeeper app. It wasn’t quick march walking but it would have shown what I did. I also blitzed the house this morning so that would have used up a few calories too.
A mile or so away we have an Italian deli which is not any where near any shops. It stands alone amongst the houses on the main road but people come from far and wide. The owners are Sicilian and they regularly travel to Italy to get their goods to sell in the shop. It’s a good walk so we walked there and damn I didn’t use my app again!! We bought Momma’s meatballs – actually made by Momma on site – yum. I have no idea about the calorie content but they don’t leave a film of oil on your plate so I think they are fine. We bought some giant pasta shapes and 4 bottles of Prosecco for £22 which is a bargain. Hubby wanted us to put two bottles in the fridge for later. We drank both between us and they were good. I think we might have to walk there again – for the exercise of course…..
